FARTHER FROM FAMILIAR

The Wandering Tree was a one-album project involving The Workday Release partnering with a few other musicians. The only album they released was titled, "Farther From Familiar," and tells the story of a young man who sets out on a journey of faith. With track titles like "A Distant Shore" and "As the Giants Fall," the album feels like a journey through dangerous waters and unknown lands, where the young hero faces various dangers.

In my re-design of the album packaging, I wanted to be sure that adventurous spirit came through. Using hand-lettering and creating and scanning a collage, I pieced together pieces of the album's story visually, featuring the "giants" on the front cover.
