LA POPULAR MEXICAN BAKERY & CAFÉ

La Popular is a local Mexican café in Abilene, TX. Their branding has always been practically non-existent and their packaging is completely blank. Because I'm from San Antonio, I was inspired by the colors of the old (and admittedly campy) Spurs basketball logo.

I wanted to give them an adaptable typographic logo that could be used both as the full name and the shortened, colloquial term, "La Pop" given to the restaurant by locals.
